If I remember an earlier post a fellow stated he was willing to part with an item that someone was asking about, but didn't say anything about selling it That post went through OK. It was only when I contacted him offlist that he told me he was wanting money for it. So may be thats the route to take?

I know this has been very breifly discussed, but I'm interested in what others have to say about being able to mention items available for sale on the modelers list. I know we have the Arrow which may give wider coverage but it only comes out every two months and meanwhile others may be buying what you have to sell.. An example; someone stated in a previous posting that the would be looking for another Proto 2000 Y-3, yet I'm prevented from replying that I have one if interested. I have been on other historical society websites and they seem to be okay with it or provide a post site to list items for members (And I'm only talking about members, no outsiders). Perhaps we could do something like that. I'm not suggesting that we should be running another ebay but whats wrong with letting people know that you have items for sale and of course with it being understood that the society has no responsibility.
