I have seen the BLI 611 up close and it is comparable to my Overland brass
excursion 611. Some minor details missing, like hoses and lines, but very
close. I have ordered the BLI 611 sound board for my brass 611. I have not
seen the newer Spectrum J's.
Just my 2 cents.

Subject: Re: BLI vs Specrum J
Have not seen the BLI model up close; but I do own several Spectrums. I
can't imagine how the BLI model would be enough better to justify that much
extra cost. I would say, go with the Spectrum. Jim Nichols

List,
I am considering purchasing either a BLI or Spectrum J class locomotive. I
am not interested in sound, so if I were to purchase the BLI locomotive, I
would buy a non-sound equipped version. Based on detail and running
characteristics, is there a consensus as to which is the better model?
Thanks,
Carl Miller
