BLI vs Specrum J

I have a Spectrum J, and I honestly cannot imagine something else running better. I could be wrong, but for the price, I agree - not sure it could run two hundred dollars worth of better.

Have not seen the BLI model up close; but I do own several Spectrums. I can't imagine how the BLI model would be enough better to justify that much extra cost. I would say, go with the Spectrum. Jim Nichols

List,

I am considering purchasing either a BLI or Spectrum J class locomotive. I am not interested in sound, so if I were to purchase the BLI locomotive, I would buy a non-sound equipped version. Based on detail and running characteristics, is there a consensus as to which is the better model?

Thanks,
Carl Miller
