Y4 - what role did they play on the railroad?

How and where did N&W use Y4's in the mid-50's, after their rebuilds and
after ACL tenders ('53), until they were scrapped in '58?

Ken Miller provided this information, seeming to indicate that N&W
purchased 10 tenders from ACL.

According to Wiki, there were 8 ACL tenders purchased.

According to Prince, all 10 Y4's survived to 1958.
