Yes: You are correct about the switch and the operating railroad. I was told by the CET that NS is up for abandonment. I did not say…” The Peavine line has NOT been abandoned...”

Actually, the switch was NOT REMOVED, it was turned to a hand throw switch and the interlocking removed. The crossovers at Vera were removed and a new crossover installed at a location called Bertha. In addition, the interlocking at Spring Lane in Portsmouth (where the old Coach Track connected to the main) was removed.

The Peavine line has NOT been abandoned...and while the signals are turned and or covered in tarps

The Ohio Central is not the operator of the line, it is the Cincinnati East Terminal railroad.

With the switch now removed on the Portsmouth Ohio end of the Peavine. NS has decided to put the line up for abandonment.

All CPL are now turned and/or covered with tarps.

The Ohio Central is operating the line now and increased business along the line.

It could be possible that Ohio Central could purchase the line.

Cincinnati and the Ohio Department of Transportation has considered running a commuter line from downtown Cincinnati to Clermont County.

NS denied approval.

Any updates would be appreciated.
