The switch at Vera has not been removed. It is no longer power operated though and Vera is no longer a control point. Both Spring Lane and Vera have been replaced by a control point named Bertha which I believe is a universal crossover.

Cincinnati East Terminal (CCET) is the railroad running on the west end of the Peavine, not the Ohio Central. Operations were recently extend east to Winchester to serve the grain elevator there.  Whit Wardell

With the switch now removed on the Portsmouth Ohio end of the Peavine. NS has decided to put the line up for abandonment.

All CPL are now turned and/or covered with tarps.

The Ohio Central is operating the line now and increased business along the line.

It could be possible that Ohio Central could purchase the line.

Cincinnati and the Ohio Department of Transportation has considered running a commuter line from downtown Cincinnati to Clermont County.

NS denied approval.

Any updates would be appreciated.
