Actually, the switch was NOT REMOVED, it was turned to a hand throw switch
and the interlocking removed. The crossovers at Vera were removed and a new
crossover installed at a location called Bertha. In addition, the
interlocking at Spring Lane in Portsmouth (where the old Coach Track
connected to the main) was removed.

The Peavine line has NOT been abandoned...and while the signals are turned
and or covered in tarps

The Ohio Central is not the operator of the line, it is the Cincinnati East
Terminal railroad.
