Presiden L. E. Johnson Had a Narrow Escape
------
President L. E. Johnson of the Norfolk and Western had a close call in the Harrisburg, Pa., station Thursday night.
President Johnson's car, attached to an engine, was standing in the station when a train, No. 7 Pennsylvania, ran in, and shoved the engine into the rear end of the car, smashing the kitchen end of it. President Johnson was considerable shaken up, but escaped injury. He returned to Roanoke yesterday, leaving his car in Harrisburg.

[Less than two months prior to this Harrisburg accident the Southern Railway killed its president, Samuel Spencer, in his business car in a rear-end collision, and it would seem that the Pennsylvania was trying to do the same with the N&W president ???]
