Turntables in the early 20th Century...Luray VA

Bernie,
	The turntable was installed at Luray on account of the traffic to
and from the tannery. As for location, it is buried underneath the approach
to the highway bridge next to the Page Country Fairgrounds.

The 17th Annual Report of the N&W (June 1913), page 13, notes the
following...

"100-foot turntables, were installed at Lambert's Point and West Roanoke,
Va., Williamson,
West Va., and East Portsmouth and Columbus, Ohio, and a 75-foot turntable at
Luray, Va."

A turntable in Luray? What for and where? Shenandoah maybe, but Luray?
