MRR vs Trains.com

I'm still exploring the outcome. If I read it correctly, we still get the MRR video magazine and get access to the archives of all the pubs for the price we'd paid for access just to the MRR archive. It seems like nobody gets a promotion or bonus for leaving well enough alone. They never heard the old Russian saying that "better is the enemy of good enough".

Gentlemen:

Apparently MRR website is gone and now sends you to Trains.com
It looks as if we have lost some resource that were on the preexisting 
MRR website.
Can anyone confirm what has been lost or any recommendations/insights?
