Larry, those cabs look very nice. What did you use for the roof? It resembles sand paper. Can you add something about this? Very nice.

All the best, mike garber

Hi Jack;
I have built three, although I am not a rivet counter I did add detail and changed the end ladders. This is a laser cut wooden kit is from American Model Builders, kit 864. I used Tahoe Model Works Bttendorf Swing Motion caboose trucks TMW-104, or Barber-Bettendorf swing Motion caboose trucks TMW-105. Thebkits can be challenging, but if you take your time and keep with the instructions they build up into a nice model. The picture is before the end ladders have been added and roof grabs have been added to two.

I see in the Commissary that a Model-CF Wood Caboose Kit is available, but comes without trucks or couplers. I have never build any rolling stock before. Is this difficult to build? What trucks would I need for this caboose and where would I find them? Thanks for your help.
