K-2 question

The bell was originally on top of the boiler, as was true with all the J's. The J bells were relocated to the under the ladder location. I do not know if this was done with any of the K2's. Possibly, possibly not. Anyway, if you want to put yours on top of the boiler, you would be correct.

Folks I have a Sunset N&W K-2 in O scale 2 rail. While it was being disassembled I had to have one air pump resoldered onto its bracket.When reassembled I noticed that the bell seemed to push the air pump askew which is probably why it broke in the first place.The bell is under the pilot ladder like the J class. I was just viewing the K-2 drawings that were with the late Tom Dressler's article in MR back in the 1970's. It shows the bell on top of the boiler.Just where WAS the bell located on this engine?
