sound decoder ?

Stephen,
I used a Tsunami steam decoder with a Tonys Trains Dream Speaker. I've
found that mounting the speaker upward so that the sound comes out the
top of the tender gives a better sound quality. To do this, I remove
the existing floor of the coal bin with a Dremel tool. Next, I install
a false floor using .040 styrene about 1/8 inch below the top edge of
the coal bin area. I fill the shallow coal bin with HO scale coal and
apply some diluted white glue. When dry, I drill as many 1/32nd inch
dia. holes in the bin as possible and then mount the speaker to the
bottom side of the false floor using double sided foam tape. There is
usually enough room in the tender to also mount the decoder. For
syncronizing the chuff, you can install a Soundtraxx cam on one loco
driver or just use the auto chuff function in the Tsunami.

Subject: sound decoder ?
I want to install a sound decoder in a brass N&W 0-8-0. Has anyone
done this and what decoder would be best for this project?
