N scale question

Nor familiar with the N scale moderls, but in HO I have modified an old Bachmann 
J shell and mounted it on the Bachmann light USRA 4-8-2 chassis. I don't see any 
reason you couldn't do the same thing with the N scale locos, but, then, I have 
not examined them.   Jim Nichols

All,
 
I have received an inquiry from a non-member who does not have internet access.  
He is an N scale modeler and I am unable to answer his question.  I am hoping 
someone on this list can assist me.
 
Basically, he owns two Bachmann J locomotives; he wants to know if the J shell 
can be mounted on the Bachmann 4-8-2 chassis as a basis for a K2 conversion.
 
Any thoughs or suggestions?  Let me know and I will send him a reply.
