The tender for the S1a was rebuilt from the tenders delivered with the USRA 2-8-8-2 which Walters also has. I have built one up with an extended coal bunker and it does not look bad.

It all depends on the engine you are doing. Each one had slight differences. You need to look

at the prototype. I have one that I added overfire jets, altered the running boards, etc. I have one

that I did not have to do much to it as it was just as it had arrived from the C&O.

If I wanted to take my proto USRA 0-8-0 and make it closely resemble a S1/S1a what all would I have to do?

List so far-
1. Center the headlight.
2. Mount the bell on front.
3. Add another air compressor??
4. Adjust the tender.

The tender is the main concern. Any suggestions?
Anything else I am missing on this list?
