Proto 2000 Y3 question

I too have had no problems getting parts.  I emailed Walthers (Amy)
about parts for my 2-8-4, provided the part numbers, and they shipped me
what I needed.  Couldn't have been easier.

Man. I had ZERO problems getting the part I needed for my Y3. I talked
to a fellow named Larry who checked on the model I had, since they have
lifetime warranty on parts, he checked, the part I needed was in stock,
and he got my address and mailed it to me. 

RIvarossi actually is owned by Hornsby not by Walthers so I don't think
you would have any luck at all calling Walthers for Rivarossi parts.
