Schooler Hill Old Line: Hickman's Cut and Shuffelbarger's Dip

This sentence from the 1935 article caught my eye:
“It is Mr. Brickey’s opinion that, with the use of the telegraphic system, it required at least 40 minutes for the dispatcher to give the order and for the 11 operators to repeat it to him”
Given how much I’ve learned in the past year or so about telegraphy from Abram’s various missives - especially the discussion on “glass arm” - this sentence and the train order with it’s 170 words and 305 figures made me gasp! And there were still 11 other hours in the work day!
