To sum up the question is whether the current 611 has an original whistle was brought up by Scale Trains that they may add a 50’s whistle to the ESU sound file of the upcoming J model. Second, this should have or should be handled by the modeling committee. Apparently our committee seems absent. Third, our modeling committee since our society’s inception has been lacking. I have been a secretary for the society, voted on the board, held a convention, donated N&W brass models to raise $$$$, worked with Dean Freytag and brought in the Life Like N&W GP18 (which we raised over a $1000 for the society). I don’t need crass remarks that I am looking for an answer that I want to hear (Larry) or comments like perpetual (Tim). I have a low two digit membership # since 1985 the first year our society began (39 Years). Now I seriously considering not renewing my membership.
