Nope. From my 1981 N&W rule book, the indication (instruction) for Approach Diverging is “Proceed preparing to take diverging route beyond next signal at prescribed speed.” Nothing about medium speed there as N&W did route signaling, not speed signaling.

And, “Approach Diverging” is not an aspect, it’s a name. An easy way I was taught to remember what aspect and indication are is “A”spect = “A”ppearance (Yellow over Green or 45 over Vertical) while “I”ndication = “I”nstruction (the textual instruction of what to do). And then there’s the name such as “Clear” or “Approach Diverging."
