As a few others have commented, that sign sure looks like "Lynchburg VA"

And the photo below appears to be taken from the other end of the same
platform.
Although there is no "VA" at the end of this sign.
The ebay photo shows a K2a with no brake vents punched yet, so does that
make it pre-50's?
