I met Bob when I was a teenager down at Tom Dressler's in Portsmouth.  Thin and fair- skinned, he was a quiet sort, who took in all within his scope.  One of the few who concentrated on Kenova during steam days.  Made a classic series of portraits of K1 101 as she rested on a Sunday on the roundhouse lead, in between her assignments on the Big Sandy Local. Bob was in the process of moving to the West Coast and was going through a divorce; I think his daughter later helped him with Mainline Modeler.  No one was better at creating detailed drawings -- they will serve as his legacy for a long time to come

Just got the word that Bob Hundman passed away this weekend.  Probably best
known for his magazine, Mainline Modeler, Bob was also involved with both
the Arrow and the COHS History magazine, and gave clinics at both society
conventions.  He was very fond of C&O, N&W, and VGN locomotives.

Another loss to historians and modelers.

I have long missed "Mainline Modeler"! A classy magazine and Bob published a lot of good N&W information in there during its publication run!Jimmy LisleSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone
