That’s great to hear. Maybe something similar could happen with at least part of the Roanoke Shops. Maybe the museum could have part of it to keep their exhibits indoors. Wouldn’t that be great to have the A, J, and Y6 at their birthplace, with a working turntable and tracks to display?
Related to that, does the Shop closing impact the NWHS and historical records/item storage? I hope not.

Posted on FB earlier today, it appears that the Mayor of Williamson, WV and a couple of other folks, made a trip to Atlanta and convinced NS NOT to raze the roundhouse in Williamson, and to preserve it. Not sure if there is going to be a transition of ownership, as I am not familiar with all of the details, but this is great news to the folks of Williamson and the friends of N&W.
