Gaining new members

My previous thought on this dilemma to allow each current member to tack on
a free trial membership for a younger acquaintance has hit the “we cannot
afford to do such” wall. That is certainly understood. My pitch then is:
Can we afford to not give this idea a try? As was pointed out, we would
double the membership for a year and probably show a substantial going
forward tally when the new guests get rewarded by receiving several issues
of the Arrow.
