I have the date of 1917 for Shawsville's brick station.  It appears to be no
longer standing.

Shawsville was a replacement depot, seem to recall the first one burned, or
Shawsville was deemed important enough to warrant the construction of the
1914 standard brick first class combination station. The replacement station
was sold or leased during the steam era to a cooperative and painted with
the Purina Chows red and white squares. That was closed by the late 1970s
and the place was set on fire about October/November 1979 and torn down
after that.

Thanks for the info Mr Kelling. I checked the N&W annual reports and found
the following. Not much detail but its something.

1904:

Interlocking and signaling apparatus were installed or improved

at Ironville, Riverton, Alleghany, Kelly Tank, Cooper, Coaldale,

Dunlow, East Portsmouth, and Glen Jean.


1910:

Passenger stations and freight depots were built or enlarged at

Suffolk, Petersburg,'Antietam, Shepherdstown, Rileyville, Stanley,

Buchanan, Starkey, Koehler, Ridgeway, Shawsville, Bluefield,

Cleveland, St. Paul,.and Devon.

1915:

Passenger stations and freight depots were built or enlarged at Waverly,
Riverton, Wirtz,

South Boston and Shawsville, Va., Charles Town and Kermit, W. Va., and
Mayodan, N. C.
