While I agree that the VMT has done all of us a great service by having the
611 restored to operational status using donated money, I disagree that this
gives the right to be above the legal rights we lay people have.  As the law
has been explained to me, I have the ownership of any pictures that I take
from public property.  Since I own them I can sell or not sell them as I see
fit and don't have to get anyone's permission to do so.  Additionally, as I
read the VMT statement on their trademark/copyright I cannot even mention
the original class J, built by Baldwin, without their permission.  In fact
it would appear that, as written, it extends to any locomotive numbered 611
or given a class named "J" regardless of the railroad.  Talk about
overreaching...

I am glad to see that Ron is not apparently speaking for the entire NWHS!
