Lamberts Point Pier Cars

I am looking for information on the Pier Cars that operated at 
Lamberts Point in the 40s and 50s. I am would like to scratch build 
one for my model train layout and was looking for color photographs 
or someone who can tell me what color they were.I have several good 
photographs of them, but they are all black and white. Any help would 
be greatly appreciated.
