If what you’re referring to is the device used to determining water levels in the boiler to combat water carryover at periods of high steam flow, no.

It was a temporary research device, and served its purpose and was never intended to be permanent. As a result of its use, the crownsheets of the existing As were lowered and the problem solved. The later As were built with the lower crownsheets.

It’s in the book . . .
