The series was 750-784, and they had all been parlor cars (no tourist cars). I have seen a list of their original names, but it may take me a while to find it again. Incidently, 10 were rebuilt to combines 620-629 in the late '40's. These later were rebuilt again into storage mail cars 1450-1459. At least one still exists at the Illinois Railway Museum. The rest of the coaches were eventually converted to MofW cars.      Jim Nichols

Subject: N&W ex-Pullman parlor to coach conversions

I am trying to find information on the Pullman parlor cars that were acquired in the early-40s and reconfigured to coaches.  I know that they were in the 750 - 775 number series... does anyone have an info as to what the Pullman Tourist car numbers or names were and what number they carried on the N&W???  I know that some were Pullman Plan 2416, while others were of other plans.

Here is one of the cars, rebuilt from a parlor - drawing room...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
