TIRESOME WAITS AT KENOVA ELIMINATED
------
Norfolk and Western Announces Change in Pullman Car Service That Travelers Will Welcome
The Norfolk and Western announced that commencing with the 12th of this month the third Pullman car which is attached to No 3 in this city will only go as far as Kenova, where it will lay off until the next train leaves for Portsmouth, Ohio, from which point it will go on to Cincinnati. Returning the car will lay over at Kenova at night, giving passengers a chance to leave Huntington early in the evening, go to Kenova where they can go to bed and sleep, the car being attached to train No. 4 when it comes along at 1:15 in the morning.
The traveling people have been asking for this arrangement for years and the matter has been considered a number of times by the railroad people. They have felt that the travel did not warrant the change, but the demand for it has become so great that the railroad has finally made arrangements for the car being dropped off at Kenova and remaining there at night to be picked up by the early train reaching this city.
This change will be greatly appreciated by people who have occasion to go to and from this city and Huntington or Charleston and will be especially welcome this winter during the session of the legislature. It enables the traveling public to get a night's sleep on the train going either way and will do away with the long and tiresome waits at Kenova.
