Thanks to Ebay and a serious bidding war we now have a great photo of the
Bicentennial caboose. Turns out the small text in question reads, "Happy
Birthday America Decatur Car Shop".

Thanks to everyone who tried to help on this.

The size, location and era suggest a repack stencil, but I have been
unable to read the words on any caboose picture I have seen. Jim Nichols

Subject: Bicentennial Caboose Question

Gentlemen,

I am finishing the art for a revised decal set and the only thing I am
missing is what this text says. This is on the lower right on both sides of
the caboose. I can make out the size but I can't read it. Does anyone know
what is says?

Thanks,

Richard D. Shell
