Accepts Position
Henry Peery, late of Norfolk, Va., has accepted a position as tie inspector for the Norfolk and Western railway, with headquarters at Princeton. His family will remain here for the present.
[Apparently the N&W was getting crossties from a sawmill at Princeton, although it seems strange that the N&W would get ties off-line.]

New Coal Company
The Superior Thacker Coal and Coke Company has been granted a charter to do business in the state. The company will develop mines in Mingo County.
