Just a little reminder that in only 3 weeks, the annual one-day outdoor Manassas Railway Festival will be held on Saturday, June 6,2009 rain or shine with no makeup day in case of inclement weather. This is located along the old Southern Railway mainline.

Lots of outdoor activities and plenty of food, vendors and history are just footsteps away be it at the restored station which houses historic Manassas or the Manassas Museum which is just across the lawn.

There will be Virginia Railway Express train rides up the track and back every hour or so for a modest fee along with several module groups and Garden Railway club displays as well as some sort of "Thomas The Tank Engine" action around the region, undoubtedly of the rubber-tired variety.

There is no admission to the Festival and provided the weather cooperates, there will loads of vendors to choose from as well as lots of food choices as well as the stationary stores which serve a variety of food and have other goodies as well.

Bring a hat and UV blocker for if it's sunny as it usually is, you might need it.

See you there in only 3 weeks
