    R. H May, chief dispatcher of the Norfolk and Western, went to Pearisburg yesterday to attend the unveiling of the Confederate monument at Pearisburg.

    W. H. Frazier, Norfolk and Western agent at Davy, passed through the city yesterday to attend the unveiling of the Confederate monument at Pearisburg.

[To the "Yankees" among us, a Confederate monument of this type can be found at most Southern county courthouses.  Pearisburg is the county seat of Giles County, VA.]
