PUT OFF A BIG ONE

    Blast Near Panther Blows Stretch of Norfolk and Western Track Into River

    The contractors who are double tracking the Norfolk & Western at Hull, near Panther, about sixty miles west of Bluefield, put off a blast at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and blew a good stretch of the main line into the river.  The track that was not disturbed was covered with debris for many yards.
    It was necessary to build a new track around the obstruction, and traffic was delayed for several hours.
