SD45's

I remember the SD45's in pusher service out of Roanoke on the Winston-Salem line in 1986 (I lived in Windy Hill Key Apts. at the time), if memory serves me right, they operated in trios; about the end of 1986 pushers were SD40-2's, C30-7's, and the then new C39-8's. I remember a bunch of 'em in the dead line on April 26, 1987 when I rode behind #1218, later that year they began showing up at a scrap yard along with GP-9's and GP-18's.
