Ron,
Thanks for passing along the sad news about Jarrell. I remember well how he
approached me at one of our conventions (I believe it was Roanoke 1987) and
introduced himself. He told me that he had a graphics business and wondered
if there were any way he could contribute to helping us improve The Arrow.
I introduced him to the relevant parties and the rest, as they say, is
history.
With due credit to all who have worked to make The Arrow what it is today, I
consider Jarrell the father and reinventor of the Society's
newsletter/magazine. He set the standard for professionalism that has been
exhibited in The Arrow ever since he took over the layout and graphics.
His contribution to the Society is evident in every issue we receive.
