Roanoke built some cars for other roads in the 1880s before it became a N&W
company shop; some gondolas circa 1910 and boxcars ca. 1928 for
Winston-Salem Southbound; 1000 class H-6 hoppers for Interstate in 1944-45;
and a batch of H-12s for several other roads in the late '70s.
