PASSENGER TRAIN NO. 3 WRECKED
------
Passenger train No. 3 was wrecked about one and a half miles west of Wilmore [Near Iaeger, WV] Thursday night, and that there were not numerous fatalities can only be attributed to a special dispensation of Providence. The train was running at the rate of probably thirty-five miles an hour when it struck a huge tree which had fallen across the track. The engine, No. 963 [Class V1 4-6-0, Richmond 1902], was badly damaged, and the front of the mail car was torn to pieces [Probably wood], but strange to say, no one was hurt. Traffic was delayed about three hours and a half.
