At about 7:30 a westbound mixed freight was by Ellett.
At 9 a westbound hopper train was by Ellett, with about 100 empties.
The tunnel work on the former N&W is making the former VGN a very busy
line at times.

Subject: Jawn Henry telescoping a caboose? Did this really happen?
I have read in a couple of different books that the N&W "Jawn Henry"
TE-1 actually telescoped a caboose during pusher duty because of its
massive tractive effort. I have searched the web but haven't found any
more details about this--is this a true story, and if so, was anybody
injured? I'd be interested in knowing the details if anybody knows the
story. Thanks,
Mike Weeks
