Quite clear, thank you. I agree that it'd be interesting to know
what the advantage of the "head-free" rail was. I saw it on a Frisco
secondary main line going through Lawton OK in the 1960s - it looked
like it'd been there for a while. The line was also equipped with
spring frogs. I've often wondered why it got such attention.
