Roanoke Times - April 2, 1907

For Jamestown Exposition

In a few weeks the Norfolk and Western will put on two very fast trains
between Norfolk and the West, to accommodate the travel to the Jamestown
Exposition. The train will carry a Detroit sleeper, one for St. Louis and
another for Chicago. These trains will probably pass east and west in the
afternoon, possibly as second sections respectively, of Nos.3 and 4 passenger
trains. These trains will not make any local stops and when the new double track
between Lynchburg and Roanoke is completed the distance will be covered by these
trains in an hour and twenty minutes.
