Big Boy Revival

My source for the Big Boy story was a non RR friend; did not realize it was  
an 'old' story. 
I personally don't know whether major parts are needed, but would expect  
total replacement of tubes and flues necessary.  Realistic ?  Who  knows ?  But 
consider the 1972 Fogg painting of 1218 and 611 side-by-side,  charging up 
Christianburg hill.  "Only a memory" we said at the time, so I  bought and framed 
a copy; still have it.  It came to life in the  80's.
