The empty trains go north past JK and are yarded in the Empty Side yard, which is located west of 24th St. From here they run west to the Radford District.  Not sure where they originate.

      Thanks to Ron Davis, I now know how the Belews Creek coal train gets out of Roanoke.  Do any of you know where the train originates from?  Does the empties do just the reverse to go back to be loaded again?
