N&W ever ran or involved or shared trackage with a traction operation?

 Ben
I think it would have been very unusual for the N&W or VGN to actually run on street car tracks.  But never say never.  Of course car line crossings could be considered as using the same tracks at that point.  We have a number of instances where the car line track and RR track were side by side.
A few years ago I was doing some research on a small place named Cradock, VA.  During WW1 the government started construction of a  new community near Portsmouth, VA to provide housing for workers at the Norfolk Naval Ship yard.  It was built along Paradise Creek and in 1960 annexed by the City of Portsmouth.
I had heard the VGN handled shipments of building material during construction of this new community.  That is what got my interest in Cradock.
VGN handled  shipments via South Branch yard MP 7.4 to their industrial connection about  about MP 7.9.   This ran north in the same direction as the car line.  In looking at various maps it could have been on the same track as used by the street car.  I have never been able to find any information to actually prove this. The trolley line service ended in 1934.
No date when the VGN  ended service to Cradock.  It had to be near the end of WW1 when the first phase of Building Cradock ended.

Pretty much as the title says. I am trying to find out  whether the N&W ever shared track with, owned or had a share in , a traction operation, such that you could see their diesels operating beside little steeplecab electrics, boxcabs, or streetcars and so forth.
Never seen anything, but you never know till you ask.
Cheers
