Chris,

Yes........it was very common for the N&W and NW paint schemes to peel or
flake off NKP and WAB units exposing a lot of the NKP or WAB original
paint.  Proper prepping might make a new coat of paint adhere better and
last longer!!!!!!!!  It made for some rough looking units and didn't help
N&W's public image much either!!!!!!
