The Scale Trains ex MTH N&W passenger cars are not Key car clones. They are exact models of the Overland cars, as MTH purchased the OMI brass cars from a friend of mine in Virginia. 
The MTH cars are exact copies down to even the window shade colors on the OMI models.

The ScaleTrains passenger cars are $90, and are ex-MTH tooling, which are clones of the Key Imports brass models. They - and the rest of the MTH passenger cars - are probably some of the nicest passenger cars on the market. 
The Bachmann ones are generic stand-ins. Train World has them for $65/each. 
* Observation - NYC prototype 
* Diner - Northern Pacific prototype 
* Baggage and coach - Unsure of the prototype.

The crazy thing is the accurate ScaleTrain models are $89.99 and the inaccurate Bachmann models are $92. I guess Bachmann will sell enough to cover costs but there's no upside in this case to purchase the Bachmann models.
