CF cupola corner rails

Mike, I think you’re referring to the support in the middle of the grabs next to the platform and the top of the cupola. 

For both of those locations, I bent wire into a (very short) “L” or “U” shape, with the short leg supporting the main grab. I also flattened the short leg to make the joint less conspicuous. I attached it with CA.

Many people put a lifting ring on the center of the grab but that isn't prototypical as far as I can tell.
How did you jig it in order to solder or otherwise fasten the support to the grab iron?
