My reason is somewhat idiosyncratic; it's framed within the last era of
Auville during steam. The concrete coaling station at Iaeger was built so
late, and that's how I plan to model the service yard. I will take it a
step further and use William Gordon's photo of the ready board at the
Auville engine house. I will have all of these locos in the service area.
Why? I don't know. It gives me something to focus on. 09/08/59. So perhaps
it's not idiosyncratic; perhaps I share that era with Bill. I sure wish I
would have met him.

This place is more mystical to me than Shaffers Crossing. If I could go
back in time for a day, I would go here.
