I'll just throw in that mastering cleaning one's airbrush after each use,
if not after each color change is critical.
And Mr. Color Leveling Thinner is the best out there for thinning lacquer
paints.
I use Vallejo thinner and flow additive for acrylics, except Mission
Models, for which I use its thinner and flow additive. The flow additive
helps in keeping acrylic paints from starting to dry at the airbrush tip.
