 This obviously is not the solution for those who want a full train of H9's. BTW: I just finished scratchbuilding an H9 in styrene. Not the solution if you want a full train of them, but a lot cheaper than the brass kit. (and probably didn't take much longer to put together) As far as I can remember, nobody has ever offered the H9 commercially before (in HO anyway)

The $89.95 for a brass car isn't outrageous in this day though. It states a solid cast brass frame. Me thinks a brass car with a solid brass/NS body will be a considerable weight to drag around should one knock off a Brinks truck for a dozen or so. Then add the trucks, couplers and coal loads!
It comes with decals so that saves a few bucks!
I believe I can pass on their generous offer!
